The MBIS Alumni Association

Welcome to the MBIS Alumni Association page. My name is Mark Pilgrim and I have been a MBIS teacher since 2006. I have recently taken on the position of Development Officer and I am working with the Head of School Mr. Shawn Hutchinson and The Marist Alumni Association representatives to build upon the current membership base on the MAA Facebook and Instagram pages to create a vibrant unified MBIS Alumni Association. Our goal is to reconnect our past students from 1951 to present not only with each other, but with the current school community.

We realize that many Marist Alumni continue to connect with each other in smaller groups on a wide variety of digital platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Line,Twitter and email providers.Our team aims to reach out to the MBIS Marist Alumni community and ask them to register on this website in the hopes of bringing over 1000 past Marist students back together under one association. By pooling our resources and combining social media connections we will be able to make reunions, gatherings and special school events even more successful.

The Marist Development Office is committed to reconnecting our past graduates,students and parents together under one association.

Brief History

The Alumni Association

The Marist Alumni Association was officially formed in 2001 with the blessings of Sr. Mary and the Committee Members have been instrumental in organizing reunion events:

  • 2000 Reunion by the Class of 1979 at Gaylords Indian Restaurant
  • 2001 50th Anniversary Reunion at the Portopia Hotel
  • 2005 Reunion at Charlies Bar
  • 2010 Reunion 10-10-10 at the Kobe Club
  • 2016 Reunion at Estacion Kobe
  • along with regular informal social gatherings.


Moving forward, the school will be working in partnership with the Marist Alumni Association and providing the necessary support to ensure that alumni activities and initiatives are supported.

The MBIS Alumni Association

  • Reconnect alumni – A website dedicated to past MBIS students and connect all Facebook, Instagram, Line, WhatsApp Alumni Group members. 
  • Host reunions of any size: giving alumni members the opportunity to meet past classmates.
  • Keep alumni members informed about news and events at Marist 
  • Provide business networking opportunities to help alumni connect with classmates, teammates and like-minded Bulldogs.
  • Provide Mentoring Opportunities: give alumni members opportunities to visit the campus and meet with current students to provide mentorship, inspiration and advice for our future Marist graduates. 
  • Provide virtual webinar workshop opportunities for alumni to speak to future MBIS graduates and offer guidance as they prepare for life outside of MBIS. 
  • Raise Heritage funds for campus redevelopment projects
